I don't know about all of you, but my husband likes to watch football during the holiday season. And every once in a while, just to show him what a loving wife I am, I like to make him some delicious party food to enjoy while he watches. Just this past week, I made him the most amazing Buffalo Chicken Bread and delivered it to his fire station on Thanksgiving {yep, he was on shift}. Since it was a holiday, they were able to watch some football in between calls and I was thrilled that they were able to snack on this while they did. From what my husband tells me, this flavorful bread was a HIT.
We will also be making some of this bread to enjoy on Christmas Eve and I can't wait {I was kind of sad delivering the entire loaf to the fire station}. It's the perfect savory snack to enjoy on a nice, lazy, relaxing holiday. #SeasonedGreetings Read on to learn how to make it.
Buffalo Chicken Bread
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Tabasco Sauce Original flavor
- 1 roll of pizza crust
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 pound chicken breast
- 1 yellow onion
- 4 tablespoons buter
- Ranch dressing
Instructions:
1) Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
2) Dice your onion and cut your chicken into small cubes.
3) Melt your butter in a large pan. Add the diced onion and cook it until it is transparent. Then add your chicken. Once the chicken is cooked, add 1/2 cup of Tabasco Sauce, Original flavor. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 20 minutes.
4) Roll out your pizza dough. Gently spoon the cooled chicken and onion mixture onto the dough. Top with 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
5) Lift the long sides of the pizza dough so that they meet at the top of your bread. Pinch the two ends of dough together. Repeat on the two ends.
6) Bake in the pre-heated over for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Slice and drizzle some ranch dressing over each piece.
Isn't it pretty?! And just wait until you taste it. It's seriously amazing and addictive.
Did you know that Tabasco sauce comes in other amazing flavors as well? I noticed them when I picked up my Tabasco Original Red Sauce at Harris Teeter the other day.
I purchased one of every flavor! I can't wait to try out the Green Jalapeño Pepper and Chipotle flavored sauces this holiday season. My creative cooking juices are already flowing.
What is your favorite Tabasco sauce flavor? How do you use it in a recipe? I would love to add some new recipes to my collection!
We were looking at this and the 1st thing my wife says is “You’d like that,” and as she said that I caught myself salivating. thinking about tangy buffalo chicken.
This looks fantastic! I love the flavors of buffalo chicken – and who doesn’t like bread. I know what I’m making for our next party! #client
