Hi friends! I don't know about you, but we spend at least 60% of our time together as a family in our kitchen. We eat out rarely (less than twice a month, on average) and love to cook. We are also pretty OCD about keeping our kitchen clean, so we spend a lot of time at our main kitchen sink (yep, we are lucky to have two sinks–we have a smaller one in the island). I can't leave a dirty dish in the sink for more than about 10 minutes. #thestruggleisreal So when our kitchen faucet started leaking and none of our DIY attempts to fix it worked, we knew it was time to get a new faucet. We headed to The Home Depot to check out faucets. We narrowed our choices down to three Kohler faucets: the Kohler Trielle Kitchen Faucet, the Kohler Sous Kitchen Faucet and the Kohler Worth Kitchen Faucet (FYI, you can only find these particular faucets at The Home Depot).
There were less expensive options available, but we opted for Kohler because they are designed with ceramic disc valves that exceed industry standards by 2x so hopefully we won't have to deal with any more leaks. Also, they include scratch shield technology that helps to withstand tough daily use–that is something we decided we DEFINITELY needed.
We decided to go with the Sous faucet. Y'all, this is our first Kohler faucet and I am IN LOVE! It's so pretty and industrial all at the same time. And I'm not going to lie, it kind of makes me feel like a chef in a professional kitchen, which is pretty fun. The installation was simple and straight forward thanks to Kohler's flexible hoses and quick-connect fittings. We popped the old faucet and soap dispenser out and installed the new one–it took about 30 minutes. Trust me, this is a very DIY-friendly job! Oh and if you currently have a 3 hole faucet but want to switch to this one, Kohler has you covered! The Sous faucet includes a 3-hole sink adapter plate.
Just take a look at this beauty! Best of all, this thing is POWERFUL. Such a big improvement over our old one. The flexibility of this faucet is awesome and the magnetic docking arm keeps the spray head in place when we want to use it in a stationary position. The spray head offers a regular stream and what is called a “sweep” which is a super wide and forceful spray that makes cleaning messy dishes more fun and easier than in years past :) Isn't it funny how excited I am about a new faucet? Proof that I really and a grown-up, I suppose :) That's it for now! See you again soon!
