Don't all of those drinks look AMAZING?
Let me tell you, I was SO excited when I was invited to participate in a cocktail blog hop. I had GRAND plans to make a strawberry coconut margaritas from scratch for you all. That didn't happen {sorry!}. LIFE HAPPENED.
Let me explain what I mean. We are knee-deep in our kitchen makeover and work has been CRAZY for me the past couple of weeks. When last weekend came and went with me not getting to this project, I wasn't worried because I knew I was traveling for work one day this week. I had to leave my house at 6:45 am and genuinely thought that my out-of-town meetings would be done by lunch time, which would put me home in plenty of time to go to the liquor store, make my drinks and take stunning photos of the result. Ummmm, not so much.
I did leave my house at 6:45 am, which was miserable because the girls were still sleeping when I left, so I didn't get to see them before I left. I arrived at my destination 10 minutes early. Woooo hoooo! But my meetings didn't end until 3:30 and torrential rain slowed down my return drive home considerably. So, I had to revise my cocktail plans.
At first I was pretty disappointed, but then I realized that many of you, my lovely readers, have REAL LIFE happening to you all the time and so maybe you would rather learn to make a yummy, easy, semi-homemade cocktail than a complicated cocktail with lots of ingredients from two different kinds of stores. Am I right?! So, that's what I am here to teach you today. Read on to learn how to make the quickest, easiest semi-homemade strawberry margaritas EVER!
Ingredients:
- Pre-made margaritas
- Fresh strawberries
- Fresh limes
- Margarita salt
- Honey
- Ice
Preparation {to make 4 cocktails}:
1) Pour two of your pre-made margaritas into your blender.
2) Add 6 to 8 strawberries and two tablespoons of honey and fresh lime juice {use the juice of one whole lime}.
3) Add two handfuls of ice and blend to your desired consistency. I like mine with small chunks of ice.
4) Add margarita salt to the rim of your glasses, pour yourself a drink and garnish with a fresh slice of lime.
Now drink up! These are YUMMY and do not taste store bought, so you could totally fool guests into thinking you slaved over the cocktails. :)
These look amazing!! Love that they are semi-homemade too! What a great way to enjoy the warm weather! I could easily take down a whole bunch of these in no time :)
Yum…Love me some Margaritas! Lately I’ve been enjoying the Bud Light flavored Lime-a-Ritas…Talk about semi-homemade (or tired Momma’s Margarita). I just pour over ice and squeeze a lime. Cannot wait to try yours…LOVE this series!

Tired Momma’s Margarita–THAT is what I should have called mine! That’s exactly what these are! I will have to try the Bud Light Lime-a-Ritas! Happy Easter, Ariean!
I LOVE simple, Tasha. I don’t do complicated when it comes to drinking! Love your shortcuts … this is my kind of drink!
I am all about shortcuts in a pinch! You will have to enjoy one of these after your sweet baby #3 is born!
Hey! Mama’s got to do what a Mama’s got to do! These drinks look delish and super easy to make since they are semi-homemade!
Pinning for summer party season!
I would love for you to share your creativity at my Show-Licious Craft & Recipe Party! Join us each Saturday morning at 8:00 am EST!
~ Ashley
Thank you, Ashley! I had no idea you have a link party! I’ll be joining in for sure! Thanks for the invite!
I am all about semi-homemade. I rarely make my own margaritas. The giant $10 bottle of the premade Kirkland’s margaritas are what I use. I do love strawberry margaritas though and I’ll definitely be making these!
Oooooh, Katie, I have never had the Kirkland’s margaritas, but we are die-hard Costco shoppers so I’ll have to add it to my next list!
What a great idea Tasha! I’m glad you got to end your long day with a cocktail :) I’ll definitely be trying this! Thanks so much for participating in the first Drinks with the Girls!
Thanks so much, Melissa! This blog hop has been so much fun–thank you so much for including me!
