Hi friends! If you follow me on social media, you know that I am daydreaming of a master bedroom makeover. I am not sure when we will get around to it, but it's been super fun for me to start making plans for it in my head. I know I want to create a serene room, full of interesting patterns and textures. I need the serenity because THIS, my friends, is what our master bedroom looked like when we moved in.
Ummm….yeah. So far, we have painted our master bedroom a serene color {Morning Fog, by Olympic}, made some temporary curtains from flat sheets and installed new laminate flooring, but our bedroom still needs a serious furniture upgrade and an overall design plan. We will get there…eventually. Currently, our bedroom is full of furniture that we built 13 years ago {which is the first furniture we EVER built}, a poorly painted thrift store dresser and our outdoor furniture {yep, that chair with the red cushions is from our old screened in porch and is part of our outdoor furniture set}. But you have to do the best with what you have until you can do what you really want, right?! THIS is what our master bedroom looks like right now. A big improvement, but we have a long way to go.
I am so excited that I’ve teamed up with Wayfair.com and selected a series of items that would get anyone started off on the right foot towards creating a serene bedroom of their own. Take a look at my blogger picks and learn all about why I think they are perfect pieces to create a serene bedroom retreat. Just click on any image you want to learn more about. This is the bedroom that I dream about :)
What is your favorite piece? I think mine is that awesome headboard! What kind of space do you want your master bedroom to be?

Hi Lindsay!!!! I was so excited to see your comment–sorry it took me a while to reply. It takes me a while to read through all the comments and respond. Thanks :) Maybe once we run out of projects here I could head over to your house :)
