How to Paint Your TIle Backsplash

This is what the backsplash looked like before we painted and stenciled it. It was red, shiny and NOT AT ALL the homeowner's style.

And this is it AFTER! Painting a tile backsplash is a simple, affordable and durable way to update your kitchen! This tutorial shows you exactly how to paint your tile backsplash in 5 easy steps.

Materials needed:

– T.S.P. (trisodium phosphate) – A good quality primer – General Finishes Milk Paint in the color of your choosing – General Finishes High-Performance Water Based Topcoat – Small foam roller – Paintbrush – Stencil  – Stencil brushes – Painter's tape

Clean your tile backsplash well with T.S.P. (trisodium phosphate).

Prime your backsplash with a good quality primer. It will look terrible at this stage–don't panic.
