But now, I'm going to share with you our colorful master bedroom. It's still very much a work in progress, but it has come a loooooooooong way since we moved in 5 years ago. Take a look at how boring and beige our master bedroom was when we moved in.

Our master bedroom is weirdly large, so we use this half of the room as a sitting area. We recently built that DIY fireplace and shelves on either side of it, and you can read about the colorful artwork we added to the room in this post. Oh, and of course the new floors and new skylights made a huge impact in the space as well.

But the other side of our master bedroom is my favorite :) It might be because sleeping is one of my favorite things in the world. I don't get to do it as often as I would like, but I am really good at it when I do. And that piece of art over our bed gives me all the feels every time I look at it. I love it so, so, so much. (PS- You can see how we made the DIY frames for all the art in our bedroom here).

And here's the last view in our colorful master bedroom. Yep, that's right, more colorful artwork :) (We actually moved the chaise lounges over to this side of the room once we installed the fireplace, but I realized I don't have an updated photo of this side of the room with the chaise lounges in place yet).
