Small Kitchen Storage Ideas
Use Ikea's wall storage systems to keep counters clear– Ikea has a TON of amazing wall storage systems that are perfect for small kitchens. Use the Ikea rail systems on your kitchen walls, even your backsplash area, to keep counters clear and create additional storage.
Narrow, DIY Rolling Pantry– Next up on my list of small kitchen storage ideas with one of my absolute favorites! If you have a little space on one side of your fridge, utilize it! Make this narrow, DIY rolling pantry with the full tutorial from DIY Passion.
Utilize baskets– For items that you don't need to have access to every day, store them on top of your kitchen cabinets in cute metal bins, like Elsie from A Beautiful Mess. LOVE the look of this! There are some awesome wire baskets available on Amazon and at Target.
Use the toe kick area to install secret drawers- This is by far one of the most brilliant Ikea hacks I have ever seen. If you are installing new cabinets in a tiny kitchen, follow this tutorial to turn that useless toe kick space into drawers for extra storage. Find the full tutorial over at Tikkido.
Add storage under your cabinets– How genius is this storage idea from Shannon Quimby via HGTV? Add inexpensive mason jars to the bottom of your cabinets for a super clever vertical storage option. It's a fabulous way to store dry grains, but you could also store dish washer detergent pods, snacks… The possibilities are endless. Check out the full tutorial here.
Utilize pegboard– Pegboard isn't only for the garage! This is one of my favorite small kitchen storage ideas I have come across. If you have limited drawer and cabinet space, use a blank wall to hang a pegboard for TONS of additional and stylish storage. Find the full tutorial at A Beautiful Mess.
Use old bifold doors for vertical storage– It's easy to get your hands on old bifold doors, sometimes even for free! You may have even removed some from your own house. If so, think twice before trashing them. Instead, upcycle them for some awesome vertical kitchen storage with this tutorial from C.R.A.F.T.
