Thea's budget-friendly kitchen makeover is taking shape! Check out the progress we've made!
Hey friends! It's about time I share an updated on Thea's super budget-friendly kitchen makeover. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that we've been doing stories every step of the way as we work on her kitchen. We've been working on it for the past 3 weeks, but we don't work on it every day AND not every day we work on it is a full day. When I share the full reveal I'll also be sharing a breakdown of what we did each day that we worked so that you have a good sense of how many “man-hours” the transformation took. And of course, I'll be sharing a full source list and budget breakdown.
I have to tell you, this kitchen makeover is giving me LIFE! It's like going back to my roots. Sure, I love the major kitchen remodel we tackled earlier this year, but it was NOT budget-friendly. This is more like the $700 kitchen makeover we tackled almost 7 years ago to carry us until we could fully renovate our kitchen. We got creative and painted and stenciled the floors, painted the backsplash and painted our kitchen cabinets. Paint is the hero in Thea's kitchen too :)
Before I jump into an update of our progress, let me remind you what we started with. This is the kitchen that Thea and her family have been living with for more than 8 years. This is the view you see from the doorway that leads from their dining room to the kitchen. You can see more before photos in this post.

Wooooo hoooooo! As you can see, we are ALMOST DONE!
Here are some progress photos for your peruse. We've done all the work ourselves. And yes. We are tired! But it's so worth it to see this incredible makeover come to life.
As you can see, this kitchen has been almost entirely transformed by PAINT! Lots of project tutorials will be headed your way soon (like how to paint and stencil a backsplash and how to prep and paint cabinets without removing the doors), pinky promise!
After alllllll that work, this is how the kitchen looks right now.
What the Kitchen Looks Like Right Now
Now that all the hard work is out of the way, we are so excited to style and decorate! Stay tuned for the big reveal next week!!!!!
