Decorating Tips

Thank you to Floor & Decor for sponsoring this post.  As always, all opinions are 100% my own based on my own experience.

Hey, hey lovely readers!  Y'all have been hanging in there with me as we have powered our way through our twin girls' bathroom update.  And I have YET to give you any pretty photos.  How rude of me?!  It's just that…well…we had to get through all the messy “behind” the pretty work done first.  Well, it's finally done.  Yep, all the GORGEOUS tile from Floor & Decor is installed, and it's pretty magical!  I can't tell you how glad we discovered Floor & Decor.  I don't feel like we ever would have found black slate tile for the floor anywhere else (and certainly not within our budget).  And the price on the white subway tile is the best we found.  The fact that the tile didn't totally bust our budget definitely helped us keep this renovation affordable. Design on a dime is always a #win in my book.

If you are new here and want a bit of history on this project, you can read about the plans for the bathroom here, see the first bathroom reno update here, and the second update here.

Now, before I show you the pretty photos, let's take a look at how things looked when I last updated you.  The tile installation was mostly done, but everything was still a mess. There was mortar everywhere, and just take a peek at how our brand new tub was looking.

OMG, I can't believe how dramatic this DIY bathroom renovation is - including DIY bathroom tile!

Well my friends, I finally installed the penny tile in the niches and grouted everything, which officially wrapped up this tiling job. We also finishing installing the cabinets and installed the new light fixtures and mirrors.

OMG, I can't believe how dramatic this DIY bathroom renovation!

So, take a look at the space with the tiling done and all the cabinets, lights and mirrors installed!  There is a source list for everything toward the bottom of this post :) This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience.  Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

  3. Love this!!! It turned out so amazing :)

We’re redoing our powder room right now and we picked the same light! I love the look of that!

The only thing I’m missing is a mirror. Where did you get those mirrors? I didn’t see any source links for those…. or maybe I missed it!

Congrats on a well done updated room!
