I am already living in fear of the day my kids decide they have better taste than I do and want to do something crazy like hang posters on their walls (gasp) or paint their rooms black (the horror). I know the teen years will bring all kinds of challenges and when home decor and design is your passion, it is easy to fear that this is how your children's teen angst will come out! I am not quite sure their teen bedroom ideas will match up with mine, but one can dare to dream.

I love how their rooms turned out, and I think they will age well with both of them. However, I don't live in a complete bubble–I know at some point they will want a more mature room and we will be doing teen bedroom makeovers! I am always thinking way ahead of what is currently happening in my home and keeping an eye out for great designs that I like. That way when one of my girls looks at me an announces that her room is babyish I will be fully prepared with lots of teen bedroom ideas.
